"I think it's the duty of the comedian to find out where the line is drawn and cross it deliberately."

George Carlin

Fighting for peace is like screwing for virginity.

I was thinking about how people seem to read the Bible a whole lot more as they get older; then it dawned on me - they're cramming for their final exam.

Inside every cynical person, there is a disappointed idealist
Just cause you got the monkey off your back doesn't mean the circus has left town.

There's no present. There's only the immediate future and the recent past.

Clouds

Saturday started out as a glorious spring/summer day, radiant sunshine, temps in the 80's
and the perfect day for an early afternoon work picnic at the Como Zoo.
Later in the day a jet stream of cold air collided with the warm air
and created a barrage of heavy storms off to our west.
We never felt the brunt of the storms here in St Paul, only quick
bursts of heavy rain and light hail.
However, from our back porch we got to witness the formation
of an incredible wall cloud off to the north of us. Now a wall cloud typically is responsible for
producing tornadoes and as it moved to the south, towards us, it certainly
threatened to do so. As it moved slowly south, you could hear tornado sirens
go off in each of the area neighborhoods it passed over.
It was spectacular to witness it's formation and movement!
As it got closer to us, it looked as if it was a giant tidal wave-ready to swallow
anything in its path. Fortunately it did nothing more than kick up some
brief moments of strong winds and provide a great photo opportunity.

I'm a banana."
