My brother Patrick is in his third week in Amsterdam and again I present his photo journal from this past week. The highlights of this week include his purchase of a bicycle (see picture below), allowing him to extend the perimeter of his travels throughout the city. You'll also see a set of pictures of his dinner with Theo and Bianca (the owners of the apartment he is renting), which took place at Mia's apartment-the woman who looks over the rental property for Theo in his absence.The true highlight of his week though was his random encounter with a woman singing on her balcony while rocking a small baby in her arms. What made this so special was that the woman was singing "You Are My Sunshine" a song that was one of our father's favorites and a song we sang at his funeral this past January. After telling the woman it was our dads favorite song-he and another person walking by joined the woman in singing the verse again. A touching and beautiful moment that confirmed our dad is watching over him.
